I've just learned to play Riichi Mahjong recently. I'm teaching my wife how to play, but we would like(need) more people to play. If anyone lives on Maui and would like to join us that would be great. :-)

Hey, I'm on Maui too… It would be great if there were more players here. Online mahjong just doesn't cut it.

Which side are you on. We live Kihei side. Do you know how to play Riich mahjong? Turns out there are A LOT of people who play mahjong on Maui, but most of the people I talked to play Chinese or Hong kong mahjong.
You are right about computer/internet mahjong. I think they are fun, but it's just not the same as playing with people. Kind of like poker (internet vs real people). |

I'm in Wailuku (I'm a student at UHMC). Myself and a friend of mine have been playing riichi on-and-off for about four years, although we don't get to play in real life very often as there's usually only two of us. Sometimes we can get a third – usually, we play three player riichi.
